Chris Carnegy
BIO: YCFM was the brain child of Chris. In 2002 it was Chris, Pete Cooper and Jenny Frank that decided YCF should have a bigger voice and how much bigger can you get than your own FM radio station. Chris does our Political stuff, because he knows things like that.
Chris is somewhat of a media superstar. He has run pretty much every local and regional commercial radio station on the south coast. He started is broadcasting life in 19′ cough splutter. Southampton Student radio, Radio Victory, Ocean Sound, Power FM, SouthCity FM… the list goes on. Chris has worked at the BBC World Service and is now Managing Editor at BBC Radio Solent.
We have it on good authority though, that despite his extensive career, YCFM is his favourite station that he has ever worked with.
